Members of the LLF&G Club, Like to report the Adult/ Child Ice Fishing Contest was held on March 5th. It was again a very cold day to be out on the ice. Nine kids registered for the contest and seven fish were brought in to be weighted. Only Northern Pike were caught. The contest does include Perch, other pike, Salmon, Rainbow Trout and other trout. Lake Eaton, Forked Lake and South Pond are among the lakes they are able to fish. First place went to Oliva W with 5.97 lbs; Second place Dylan L with 3.68 and Third place Garrett C. with 3.55 lbs. Pizzas were provide by the LL Diner and drinks were provided by Hoss's Country Corner. Supporters of the contest include the Moonlighters and Lions Club. A big THANK YOU to Jim and Mary Jo Waite for working the contest from registration to awards and getting all the donations. I got to hunt up some photos as I forgot to give Jim my camera.
